I have been the proud Assistant Principal for Fern Bluff since the 2007-08 school year. 12 years! I was asked to come over from Forest Creek where I was an Assistant Principal for 2 years. Luckily, I came over when Dr. Wilson and Mrs. O'Brien started so we were able to create our vision for Fern Bluff together.
Before moving into administration, I was a Resource/Inclusion teacher in AISD. I loved working with my students and bonding with their parents. I was lucky enough to get to work with all the grades. I especially loved working with 4th and 5th graders!
Before entering into the education field, I was a travel agent. I met my husband through my job and we loved creating vacations for our clients. We still love researching destinations and travelling ourselves!
I graduated from The University of Texas with a B.S. in Applied Learning and Development (Elementary Education with a specialization in Special Education) and also a M.Ed. in Special Education with an emphasis in multicultural education. I also have a M.Ed. from Texas State University in Educational Administration.
I truly feel that education is the most important thing we have in this world. I also believe that Fern Bluff is doing an amazing job. That is why my son, Ryan, had the privilege of attending here since Kinder. He is now going into RRHS. It goes by fast!
I love my job and the students and families that I have had the chance to meet and know. Fern Bluff is a very special school and I am blessed to be part of it.
